About this deal

The rollicking, rhyming text reminds me of Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy, and this text can introduce the concept of companion animals and their importance. The opening episode features the gripping story of 10-month-old Springer Spaniel, Louie, who faced a life-threatening situation after impaling himself on a stick during a walk. Această minunată cățelușă este cea care le readuce zâmbetul pe buze copiilor din secția de Pediatrie. This picture book about a missing toy bear somehow seems like a classic already - with a lovely whiff of nostalgia about it all, while also feeling very current and gently inclusive. Working as a freelance illustrator Sara creates images for editorial, design, publishing and advertising.

Graeme joins her distraught owners during a consultation, learning about the cause of her blindness. Throughout the series, Graeme delves into the heart of Willows Hospital, witnessing cutting-edge procedures, collaborating with skilled specialists and bearing witness to remarkable recoveries. Graeme Hall, renowned for his expertise in training unruly dogs on Channel 5’s Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, embarks on a new journey within the world of canines. Este și ziua de externare a lui Joe, un băiat surdomut, iar Pic, Roza ,Joe și mama lui Joe și părăsesc împreună spitalul. Her owner, Rose takes her swimming each day - then they hop onto the bus to get to the hospital where Dot spends her time being a companion in the Wallaby Ward, full of children. Dot loves visiting the children of Wallaby Ward and they're always pleased to see her too; from a crying baby to a bored teenager - a pat, a stroke and a cuddle with Dot cheers everyone up.

There was a deaf boy and a car was coming and the boy couldn’t hear it and the hospital dog saved him.The sting in the tale where a deaf boy is about to cross the road without looking brings Dot's abilities to the fore, putting herself in the place of the boy, taken to a different sort of hospital. The Hospital Dog was inspired by a trip Julia Donaldson took to Evelina Children’s Hospital in London where she saw firsthand the positive impact a visit from a furry friend can have on children in hospital. And then came a day, where Dot was being knocked down by a car in an accident (when he was trying to save a kid). I love the depiction of the hesitantmother and toddler, both wary of the dog, but seduced by Dot's enthusiasm and love.

This is another great addition that we really enjoyed reading: - heart-moving, bitter sweet, and creates a chance for interesting discussions with kids.Plus, the last parts of the hospital visit just made me laugh so hard, seeing Dot in that wheelchair held by one of the kids and then racing around. The comparison with Dot in her own form of hospital, recovering from her own accident, is a great lead in to calm children’s inexperience. She lives in Glasgow and spends a lot of time on stage performing her brilliant sell-out singalong shows! We work separately - he’s in London and I’m in Glasgow - but he sends me letters with lovely funny pictures on the envelopes. The repetition was a bit eh at times, but I didn’t mind it too much especially because it was so cute and so much fun.
