Mine doesn’t have a shiny finish, it’s more matte and not perfectly smooth and the sticky part didn’t stick like I wanted it to. I placed my napkin holder in front of the cord wrappers, which are side by side, and you can’t see a thing! We usually use twist ties to tame them, but we lose the twist ties, and it still leaves a blob of cord dangling behind the appliance. I also was cleaning my bathroom the other day and used one for my electric toothbrush cord� lifesaver!It isn’t as I envisioned it to be for the cords of my grinder and coffeemaker but I can live with it.
