About this deal

The 2020 Q-STAR Tour was a middle-of-the-road performer in last year’s MGS Ball Test. By and large, it was low spin with both the driver and iron at all three swing speeds tested. And out of all 37 balls tested, it finished no lower than 12 th in iron carry distance in each swing speed. Driver distance, however, was a different story. It was a top-half performer in the mid-swing speed category but finished near the bottom with both high and low swing speeds. This new ball is a performer, through and through. Unlike painted golf balls, DIVIDE’s entire thermoplastic urethane cover is infused with bright pigments so that the colour won’t scratch or tear. Plus, that premium urethane adds spin for plenty of control around the greens. If the option for Financing or one or more of the monthly terms are not shown, then unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for that finance type at this time. Pay in 3 instalments Q-STAR Tour won the spin contest in Srixon’s head-to-head wedge testing against the TaylorMade Tour Response and the Titleist Tour Speed. With a 58-degree wedge and a 35-mph swing, the Q-STAR Tour had nearly 400 more rpm than the TaylorMade and nearly 800 more than the Titleist. It was, of course, Srixon’s test, so the results should be taken with a prescription-strength grain of salt. FastLayer Cores and Speed Dimples

The new Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE is a performer, through and through. Unlike painted golf balls, DIVIDE’s entire thermoplastic urethane cover is infused with bright pigments, so the color won’t scratch or tear. Plus, that premium urethane adds spin for plenty of control around the greens. Meet the all-new Q-STAR Tour Divide, a golf ball that stands out on the course with its unique 50/50 matte urethane cover. DIVIDE boasts all the drive-boosting, chip-stopping performance of a classic Q-STAR TOUR but comes in a new dual colour construction. If, however, you’re a traditionalist and think optic yellow screams driving range and is an affront to the game’s sacred traditions, you might want to skip this article. It won’t make you happy. Matte Urethane Cover - Each Divide cover is yellow on one half and red, blue, or orange on the other. This high contrast matte cover makes spin visible and putting alignment easy. Plus, it’s cast from soft urethane for tour-level spin and stopping power. Why would Srixon decide to make a ball that’s essentially two-thirds of a stoplight? We posed that question to Srixon Marketing Director Brian Schielke. The Q-STAR TOUR ball does have its following. It’s a modestly priced urethane ball so it has that going for it, despite the 2019 version’s performance in Ball Lab. We’ll see with the 2021 version. Another Srixon signature is the 338 Speed Dimple Pattern. Srixon balls do have a reputation for performing well in the wind and the 338 Speed Dimple Pattern is designed to reduce drag and increase lift. Lower drag helps keep the ball online while greater lift helps keep the ball in the air longer. The Elephant in the Room

It wasn’t like someone said, ‘Hey, let’s make a two-tone golf ball’, and, presto, the engineers had it done the next day,” says Schielke. “It took quite a bit of prototyping, testing, getting the colors right and getting a really clean seam.” Color aside, the Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE is the most up-to-date version of the Q-STAR TOUR. It features what Srixon calls a 338 Speed Dimple Pattern. The company says it’s designed for a penetrating ball flight, increasing lift and reducing drag. The signature Srixon Fast Layer Core is one of those crazy compounds that companies like Sumitomo Rubber Industries (the SRI is Srixon) and Bridgestone use because, well, they’re rubber experts and they can. The Fast Layer Core is soft on the inside and firmer toward the outside, sort of like a Tootsie Pop. The end result is that it acts like a four-piece ball but is a hell of a lot easier to make. The Srixon Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE is built on the Q-STAR TOUR platform. It’s a three-piece, 72-compression ball with a urethane cover. Only that it’s in two colors. Hideki (Matsuyama) saw some and was playing around with them on the putting green,” he says. “He liked the visuals of putting with this ball so you never know.” Brighten up your game with the New Srixon Q-Star Tour Divide Golf Balls feature a 50/50 matte urethane cover with yellow on one half and blue on the other, making spin visible and putting alignment easier than ever. Q-Star Tour Golf Balls are Srixon’s softest ball with tour-level performance. FastLayer technology and the largest core in its class make the ball fast of the face and long off the tee. The new SeRM urethane cover delivers one-hop stop control around the greens.
