As the market for polymer films expanded, the cellulose film market contracted. This led to the closure of cellulose plants around the world including some plants owned by us. Equally, investment was made in new BOPP plants as demand grew. However with the invention of polymer films and its fast growth, we decided in 1967 to invest in a new production plant to produce Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film.
