the same name by the late Michael Crichton, made its big screen debut in 1993 with Steven Spielberg's visionary and envelope pushing original. However, there are larger forces at play with big business at the centre of a catastrophe plaguing the world. CREATING A PLAGUE - Laura Dern and Bryce Dallas Howard discuss the enormous locusts featured in Jurassic World Dominion and the creature effects team reveals how they were created and deployed. This two-disc set offers a region-free BD-50 of the Theatrical Cut in 3D with a Region Free BD-50 offering both the Theatrical Cut and the longer Extended Edition - essentially the same disc offered with the domestic 4K and Blu-ray issued here in the states.

However, it has a very diverse cast, so maybe that explains why it got panned by a lot of the public. There’s also an over-reliance on CGI, which looks more like a crutch than a device to give wonder to the audience. It introduces a wide range of new dinosaurs into the mix and that might compensate somewhat for the over-reliance on action sequences, CGI and nostalgic heart string tugs.It wasn’t the most creatively daring effort, but “Jurassic World” was tremendous fun and visually arresting, setting up a new trilogy . It was great to see the original cast in the movies again, but even that just wasn't enough to save it. Cinematographer John Schwartzman shot the movie with a combination of 35mm film, 65mm film, and VistaVision.

Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) for an incredible adventure that will determine the destiny of humans and dinosaurs once and for all. It doesn’t look like the critical response has had that big an impact on the box office success of the film, though, so clearly the estimates above were a ball park to aim for. This time, the setting is not sub-tropical islands, but a snowy mountain fastness in the Italian Dolomites.Alan Grant and Iain Malcolm into the mix for a shot of old-school in the final entry in the Jurassic World trilogy. but really there's a pervasive sense of missed opportunity in just about every aspect of this production and, perhaps much like Rise of Skywalker, you'll just be relieved when it's all over. MAYHEM IN MALTA - A behind-the-scenes look at the Atrociraptor rooftop chase and Owen’s harrowing motorcycle ride through the narrow streets and alleyways of Malta.

It wasn't 1993's Jurassic Park - hell nothing has come close - but it was a fun effort, leading to a whole new trilogy which, again much like the Star Wars features, struggled with not knowing where the hell it was going. The basic premise is that dinosaurs live in some degree of harmony with humans; BioSyn controlling the world’s largest dinosaur sanctuary couched within the Dolomite mountain range. Thanks to Random Space Media - 3D Blu-ray fanatics have a reason to power up the dusty old 3DTV or projector and slap on some glasses! It has so much polish to key scenes that the more restricted, on-set scenes 'gathered around a cave' sequences take on an almost straight-to-video feel by comparison, feeling cheap and amateurish, no matter how good they look in 4K, they still look like B-roll footage. The two positives to take from the film are that there are a lot of new dinosaurs that sometimes look cool, and you also get to see Alan and Ellie getting together. I’m unqualified to comment on how authentic it all is, but it does make for a slightly bumpy ride in delivering the plot. Director Colin Trevorrow may be moving on from dinosaurs, but clearly audiences aren't done with them yet.
