Various members of the group have continued incredibly successful careers since leaving Genesis, including Peter, Phil and Mike - who formed Mike and the Mechanics in 1985. The Jam broke up in 1982 having released six studio albums and one live album in their time together.

That same year, the two performed on stage together for the first time in 28 years during Paul's residency at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
