Description

Though Soundwave appears remote, detached and clinical, he secretly delights in the cries and screams of his enemies. It's literally music to his audio receptors. Mandarin: Shēng-pō (Taiwan, 聲波, "Soundwave"), Yīng-pō (Taiwan, 音波, "Soundwave"), Shēngbō (China, 声波, "Soundwave"), Yīnbǎn (China, The Headmasters, 音板, "Soundboard")

Expandable weapon selection: fans can build bigger mission loadouts by compiling an arsenal of additional weapon accessories from other Siege figures. (Each sold separately. Subject to availability). This character article is a stub and is missing information on their video game appearances. You can help Transformers Wiki by expanding it. In this new role, Soundwave remained a loyal Decepticon for millennia—making one increasingly dubious compromise after the next—until after the end of the Great War, when Megatron, the 'bot who had led him down this path, saw the error of his own ways and defected to the Autobots. Grudgingly accepting cooperation with Optimus Prime yet refusing to formally join the Autobot cause, Soundwave continued to proudly wear his purple Decepticon insignia, a badge of honor that, to some, marked him as the last true Decepticon.

After Megatron learned about BotCon 2009 from Optimus Prime, he led a small group of Decepticon representatives to the convention, including Soundwave. BotCon 2009! But the small translucent red Battlemaster Rung? Rung doesn’t appear in the Netflix series at all. Perhaps he sort of represents the vision of Alpha Trion that Bumblebee sees in his vision? That version of Alpha Trion was dead and kind of translucent and kind of red in places, and Rung is, like, secretly Primus, so there’s maybe an afterlife connection there. I’m reaching here. EXPANDABLE WEAPON SELECTION: Fans can build bigger mission loadouts by compiling an arsenal of additional weapon accessories from other Siege figures. (Each sold separately. Subject to availability). Duane Capizzi said Soundwave can speak, but just chooses not to for his many appearances in Prime and his Robots in Disguise debut. The decision was to contrast Soundwave with the overly talkative Starscream, [1] and at BotCon 2011, the staff compared Soundwave to Boba Fett. Instead, he records what he overhears and replays it with a mechanical echo that is very similar to the echo of his G1 counterpart. Sorry, Frank, only one character for now...

Soundwave and the other Decepticons were battling the Autobots for control of a space bridge when a freak accident teleported everyone to the Japan of another universe. As they scouted out the terrain, Soundwave and Laserbeak reported on the miraculous energy source beneath the nearby Photonic Power Laboratory. The Decepticons watched as the Autobots took on and later allied with Kōji Kabuto and his Mazinger Z super robot after realizing that Baron Ashura had deliberately misled them into supporting the evil Mechanical Beasts. Not long after the evil robots retreated, the Decepticons sought out their leader Doctor Hell and formed an alliance. Part of the second wave of Kreon Warriors, "Knight Soundwave" is a fantasy-medieval version of the Decepticon. He has a clip-on wooden "Laserbeak"-y bird, but it's not specifically labeled as "Laserbeak". His shield also bears a coat of arms featuring two bird heads and a feline head. What could that mean? Hmmmmm....

There is also a vehicle mode configuration for this Arms Up Mode, with the massive turbines on the end of Soundwave's wings and the weapon on top of the main body. The whole shebang can be seen in this TakaraTomy developer video on YouTube. G1-INSPIRED CYBERTRONIAN ALT MODE: Voyager Class WFC-S25 Soundwave toy features classic conversion between robot and Cybertronian spacecraft modes in 25 steps. Build the ultimate battlefield: discover an expansive ecosystem of collectible figures and weapon accessories with Siege figures. (Each sold separately. Subject to availability). A Transformer resembling a particularly dazzling Soundwave (as opposed to the other guy) was a follower of Primus in the Golden Age. Like his fellows, he dutifully assisted Primus in his efforts to confiscate the Seven Lights from his dissenting army the Primus Vanguard and destroy the universe. In War for Cybertron, during the Decepticon missions, Soundwave often acts as the one who figures out what to do in an area, such as corrupting Omega Supreme's Energon supply with Dark Energon. This is most likely the game's attempt to avoid the annoying on screen guides that pop up to give advice that have been present in other Transformers games... and a far less annoying guide than a certain other.

Beastify the battlefield! Worlds collide when the Maximals and Predacons join the fight, coming together with the Autobots and Decepticons in an epic battle that will alter their destiny forever.Soundwave emerged from the Well of All Sparks sometime during or before the Age of Wrath. As the Quintessons took control of Cybertron, they helped establish civilization across the planet, and a ruling body of Cybertronians to oversee the day-to-day activities the Quints wished the Cybertronians to perform. An election was held that named Sentinel Zeta as Prime, and Soundwave became a member of his council of thirteen.

Hoist was making repairs to Laserbeak when Sludge and Snarl dropped by the lab. Later, when he was trying to work out who had messed up the lab, Hoist suspected Laserbeak, however he and Whirl ruled the Decepticon out when they realized his claws didn't match the scratch marks. Things That Go Bot In The NightFor this release, some Soundwaves suffer from a paint error, leaving the small upside-down triangle on his forehead crest unpainted, though it is animation accurate. Known designers: Aaron Archer and Joe Kyde (Hasbro), Takashi Kunihiro (TakaraTomy), Andrew Scribner (deco artist) Note: In my photos of this alt mode I chose to flatten Soundwave's feet as I was not crazy about the "cat ears" look of having his feet point up. Now, this does leave a gap on the sides of the cassette player, but I'm willing to live with that if it means the top portion is flat. You can see the "official" transformation in the official photos from Hasbro in the gallery below. The cassette-icons are nice but are a snug fit into his chest compartment. It may take a few movements in and out to get the door to work right. I like the added color and pattern they add.
