About this deal

Culdcept Revolt was announced in a Japan-only Nintendo Direct on May 11, 2016, followed by another session showing gameplay on June 22.

I couldn't resist-especially considering how much I love my 3DS and the notion of a portable fantasy card game was just too enticing to ignore. Similar to the first point, they don't always give you all the information affecting combat when you're in the combat screen picking an item. Smaller tweaks such as the fatigue that afflicts monsters, the fact that you now discard at the end of your turn, and the introduction of new buildings also change things up, but another major addition are the slightly bizarre Evo cards. Count Kraniss of the city is trying to kill all the Cepters and my main character has amnesia and is trying to find out who he is. Don't expect much in the way of variety however, as there's no opportunity to actually explore environments or interact with NPCs outside of set cutscenes. As the Culdcept series celebrates its 20th Anniversary, the addictive card-meets-board game is back, bigger and better than ever with hundreds of new cards, inventive boards, and exciting multiplayer gameplay! Culdcept Revolt [a] is a turn-based strategy video game developed by OmiyaSoft for the Nintendo 3DS.

There are ways to manipulate the dice roll, and to negate certain traps, but sometimes you'll just suffer a run of misfortune and fall victim to one bout of bad luck too many. On a final note, I'd like to say that the Limited Edition version of this game was so profoundly packaged with amazing artwork and very cool extras that I simply couldn't believe the amount of love and detail that went into the preparation. It's also a bit of a hassle to restart games if they aren't going your way, as you need to wait your turn, manually resign, and then load that mission again from scratch. To start the purchasing process, it is necessary to sign in with the Nintendo Account and the Nintendo Network ID.

The story is paper-thin, but the gameplay is perfectly balanced, and online multiplayer available to test your wits against anyone out there. It successfully takes a couple of different approaches to traditional board and card games, and fuses them into something that you can spend a lot of time learning to master, and feeling really good about yourself as you do. This would have been excellent if it had released BEFORE I'd gotten into other digital card games and a slosher-load of other big-screen games!

The cards themselves are also well illustrated by various artists, while battle animations are restricted to some limited effects that do the job, but pass on more elaborate visuals as creatures clash.Allen realizes that they were being manipulated into opposing each other by one of their supposed servants.
