What I found instead was a collection of drawings and photos of what Knisley ate and bought while living in Paris for 6 weeks with her mother. We have a few South Africans (white) in our church and when they do the tea coffee after the Sunday service they'd always bring in UHT as it was what they were used to. We're in the process of switching from formula to cow's milk, currently about 50% of each for the morning and bedtime drinks.

Lucy is 3 years younger than I and looks to be heavily influenced by Craig Thompson's awesome Carnet de Voyage. and then like a page later she talks about how americans are all fat and ugly and how that's a culture shock for her. As it became clear that nothing more substantive was going to be discussed, I wondered whether the earlier rhetoric about mother/daughter relationships was added on later in the publishing process. The biggest gripe I have though is with the discrepancy between the back cover's description and the book's actual content.As a reader, I have no idea what her relationship was with her mother before she left as she did not really touch on this issue, let alone explore the changes that were supposedly occurring during her trip. colloquialisms are used a lot "sucker" "YR's" to represent her truthful feelings and the highly personal nature of this account.
